Amanda’s America Reads September 6,8, 13,15,20
In the beginning of the semester Amanda had been volunteering at America Reads which was organized through the University of Whitewater. This was before our decision of Serve Aware but still during the Fall 2010 semester. Amanda has been participating in America Reads since fall of 2008. In September 2010 she was able to volunteer three consecutive Mondays, and two Wednesdays with Mrs. Lau’s kindergarten class. Amanda was able to spend individual time with a few students to increase their reading capabilities. She only spent about an hour a day there in between her classes; however she was able to assist Mrs.Lau in the education of our future generations.
